My journey at Signature Image
By Barry Thomas
I’m Barry Thomas, husband of Leslie Thomas, who many of you know as the nurse practitioner injector at Signature Image Atlanta Medical Spa. She, along with Cathy, are the heart and engine of the business, and for years, I was her supportive spouse, from the sidelines. I was so incredibly proud of their success, but truth be told, I was also a bit intimidated by the world of facials, lasers, and skincare products. It just felt like a space designed for women, not a place for men.
Like a lot of guys, I avoided treatments and anything that sounded remotely like “pampering.” I’d walk past the treatment rooms and think, “That’s not for me.” But over the past couple of years, I’ve learned just how wrong I was, and how much I was missing out.
It started slowly. Leslie suggested I start with a facial. I resisted at first, but eventually I caved. And now? I’m two years into a monthly facial routine that’s honestly changed how I look and feel. And I’m not the only one noticing.
I have oily skin, and for years I’d just deal with the occasional breakouts, dull patches, and a general tired look. Since I started getting regular facials and using a skin care routine, that’s all changed. My skin stays clearer, smoother, and has a more consistent tone. The fine lines under my eyes have noticeably softened, and people and pals, coworkers, even family keep telling me how much younger and more refreshed I look. I didn’t expect these kinds of results, but the feedback speaks for itself.
Then came the Nutrafol Men’s Program. I started taking the supplements daily and applying the scalp serum every morning. Over time, I noticed something, my hair was getting fuller. But the real validation came when my mom pointed it out. If your mom notices your hair is looking better, you know something’s working. The only catch? The hair growth happens everywhere. Let’s just say I’m trimming my ears and a few other spots more often now, which is funny, but a small price to pay.
I can say with total confidence that these two routines, the monthly facials and Nutrafol have made a major difference. They’ve not only improved my appearance, but how I carry myself. There’s a little more pep in my step these days. Leslie has also been hounding me to try the lasers, and now I’m ready. I’m enjoying watching my skin transform.
So, here’s my message to the guys out there: If you still think med spas are just for women, you’re seriously missing out. This isn’t about vanity, it’s about confidence, health, and taking care of yourself just like you would your car, your job, your golf clubs, or your workouts. If you’re curious, take that first step. I did, and I haven’t looked back.
Trust me, the mirror and the compliments won’t lie. And the team and Sig Image will take good care of you.
