How does Semaglutide work?

Semaglutide works by helping the pancreas release more insulin when blood sugar levels are high, this helps move the sugar from the blood into the tissues to be used for energy.  Semaglutide also slows the movement of food through the stomach, giving the feeling of fullness for longer periods of time which can decrease appetite and cause weight loss.

What are the contraindications of Semaglutide?

Semaglutide is contraindicated if you have had medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or an endocrine system condition known as Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Syndrome type 2 (MEN 2), or if you have had a serious allergic reaction to Semaglutide, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
